Prolance has received the ReStart® certificate from Tarkett for the reusing of floor solutions. Danny Voerman, owner of Prolance says: “Through the ReStart® program we can participate in a cost-efficient initiative for the collection of used floor coverings. By participating in ReStart® we contribute, in the name of Prolance, to the protection of natural resources and the environment, and to the transition to a circular economy.”
Prolance flooring solutions
There are many types of floors with a great diversity in appearance. In addition, the choices now available offer an endless array of material type, colour and covering. Each floor has its own specific characteristics. Danny: “In addition to the design of the floor, our products are created with a focus on quality and sustainability, taking into account the environmental impact of our floors during use, maintenance, production and disposal. With the ReStart® certificate we show that we recycle our floor solutions and reuse them as a new raw material. CSR (corporate social responsibility) is a high priority at Prolance Marine Flooring.”
In addition to the ReStart® certificate, Prolance also has the VCA certificate and all Prolance employees are VCA certified. Danny: “We often work in situations where there is a safety risk and it is therefore crucial that everyone knows how he or she works safely. This applies to both their own safety and that of their immediate environment. We are even certified for the VCA**(two star) certificate, which means that our policies and management also meet VCA requirements.”
We only work with products that meet the IMO and MED certification requirements. The STCW introduced this standard for international shipping. This certification places great importance on safety and the environment.
All our suppliers are accredited to perform inspection and certification services, for example the MED. They do that for all the products that we use. IMO/MED certification is important for yachts, ships and ferries that sail under IMO/MED or MCA.
